Brooklyn Man Shot In Mott Haven

Police were searching for the person behind the fatal Friday night shooting of a Brooklyn man in Mott Haven, Bronx.
Officers found Jay Briley, 43, shot in the torso behind a building on East 137th Street just after 7:30 p.m. Friday.
He was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital.
A sister of Briley's girlfriend, Eyanna Jackson, said Briley was not the type to get into any trouble
.
"Never had a history of violence. He fights but not a real fighting dude like that. He's real more of a cool dude to help in the area," said Jackson. "If any of the old ladies needed help with the kids, if the kids wanted a dollar, he was the guy who gave them a dollar out here."
The cause of the shooting is still unclear.
